Mr Chandra Rao MBBS, MSc, FRCS (Tr Orth)
Mr Chandra Rao trained at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic hospital, Oswestry UK. He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hereford County Hospital since 2010. His Orthopaedic surgical expertise includes total hip replacement, total knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, total ankle replacement, knee and ankle arthroscopy, surgeries for ankle and foot arthritis (including great toe replacement) and sports knee and ankle injuries.
Personal Interests
Mr Rao is married to a consultant histopathologist at Hereford County Hospital. His interests include playing and watching cricket, eastern philosophy and an avid BBC radio 4 listener.
During my first consultation Mr Rao gave a very clear to understand explanation of my condition and what treatment options were available and best for me. The operation and recovery was a great success.
My new knee has given me a new lease of life! I can now walk so much better and be more active overall, thank you Mr Rao. Excellent from start to finish.
